For those working in the Life Long Learning Sector, the College offers the opportunity to become a professionally qualified teacher by studying for a DTLLS qualification in Ashford, Folkestone or Tonbridge. Applicants do not need to hold a degree to join this programme. The programmes combine theory and practice and students are assessed on their teaching practice as well as written work and presentations.
The FdA Supporting Teaching and Learning is designed for anyone wishing to pursue a career in education. The programme of study can be applied no matter what age of learner you work with. Students studying for the programme can gain HLTA qualifications whilst studying, the programme can also be a route for those wishing to pursue full Education degrees and Qualified Teacher Status.
