The course is aimed at people wishing to join the construction industry as wall and floor tilers and will provide them with a broad knowledge, understanding and skills.

You will study several units including:
- Selection of materials
- Components and equipment
- Preparation of backgrounds
- Preparation and mixing of materials
- Tile wall and floor surfaces
- Health and safety in the workplace
Functional skills of English, maths and ICT are a key part of this course.

Entry Requirements:

You need an acceptable school report and an interview. There will be a screening assessment carried out which identifies the most suitable level of course to start on.

Career Options:

After you have successfully completed this course, you can progress onto further construction courses, an Advanced Apprenticeship or employment.
