This course covers the safe handling, storage, mounting and use of abrasive wheels.This course will provide students with an understanding of the hazards associated with Abrasive Wheels, and to comply with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).
Course Content:
- Nature of hazards and identification of cause
- Legal requirements
- Election of correct machinery and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Method of marking, storing, handling and transporting
- Storage, checking and use of discs
- Machine checks
- Safe working area
Entry Requirements:
