You will receive an 'unlock code' either from your school or through the post. This will allow you to apply to the College via: www.kentchoices4u.com

The website gives you details on how to apply, but if you have any problems applying ask your Connexions Personal Adviser or contact our Admissions team on 0845 207 8220 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. All other applicants

If you're not a year 11 student at a Kent school participating in the Kentchoices4u application process, please download and complete the Course application form. Although there's no official closing date for applications, we operate a first come, first served process, so please apply as early as possible.

If you're not sure which course to apply for we can arrange a meeting with one of our advisors, who can help you decide. Simply tick the box under Section B of the form and we'll get in touch to arrange an appointment.

If you know which course or subject area you want to join, write the course name or general subject area (e.g. 'Business Studies') under Section B of the form. You can apply for up to three courses, but we recommend you only apply for ones that genuinely interest you.

Applicants holding non-UK qualifications

When you apply, if your qualifications weren't awarded in the UK please include copies of the certificates, with a signed statement, either by the issuing authority or by a solicitor or notary, confirming that it is an accurate copy of the original. If certificates aren't in English, you must also provide certified translations with your application, with the translator's credentials and their official confirmation that the translation is accurate. We reserve the right to ask for original documents.

Interview

We'll contact you by email or letter to confirm that we have received your application (normally within ten working days). Our Admissions team will then arrange an interview with a relevant member of staff. This gives you the chance to ask questions and make sure the course is right for you, as well as helping us to place you on the right course. We'll let you know the date for your interview as soon as possible - it'll be between January and September 2011. We get a lot of applications, so don't worry if it takes some time for your interview to be arranged.

College Decision

You'll receive a letter from our Admissions team telling you which course we can offer you. This may be conditional on you achieving certain grades in your exams (if you haven't yet taken them). All places are subject to a four-week review period, when your tutor will monitor your progress and work to ensure you're on the right course.

After you've been offered a place

You should send us the form enclosed with your offer letter to confirm whether or not you want to accept the place offered. If we don't hear back from you within a set time, we may offer your place to someone else.

You'll receive enrolment details by the beginning of August. At enrolment, usually in the final week of August, you'll learn everything you need to start your course. If your exam results in August don't turn out as well as you hoped, don't panic! If they're close to the entry requirements, your original offer may stand. If not, we'll do our very best to place you on a different level course in the same subject area, or find you a suitable alternative.
