Full-time University Programmes

All applications for full-time programmes should be made through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) at www.ucas.com You’ll find the relevant UCAS code under each programme entry in this guide.

If you are applying through a UK school or college, you’ll need to obtain the school or college’s UCAS ‘buzzword’ before you apply.

You’ll pay UCAS a fee depending on how many programmes you apply to, and will need to give payment details during your online application.

Many programmes are over-subscribed, so please apply as early as possible. The official closing date set by UCAS is 15th January 2012, but we’ll consider applications received after this date.

If you submit your application after 30th June 2012, your application will enter Clearing and UCAS will issue you with a Clearing number.

Your application will not be sent to the College by UCAS, therefore, if you apply after this date, please contact our Applications Team on 0845 207 8220 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and have your Clearing number and details of your qualifications to hand. You’ll then be advised on the next steps.

Further information on the clearing process can be found at: www.ucas.co.uk/students/nextsteps/clearing

For information on course availability, please contact the Applications Team.

After You’ve Applied

• After processing your application, UCAS will send you a welcome letter

• You can monitor the progress of your application via the UCAS Track service at any time by going to: www.ucas.com/students/track

• UCAS sends your application to the partner university, who forwards it to us

• We assess your application against our admissions criteria

• For most programmes we invite you to an interview

• If you apply before 15th January, we’ll give you our decision by 10th May

• If you apply before 30th June, you’ll get our decision no later than 19th July

• We make our decision and UCAS informs you

• If you receive an offer, you must accept or decline it through the UCAS Track service

• After you’ve received decisions from all your chosen universities and colleges, UCAS sets a deadline for you to reply

• If you don’t reply by this deadline, UCAS automatically declines all your offers.

Part-time Programmes

Applicants for part-time University of Greenwich programmes (excluding DTLLS) should apply via the University online application system: www.gre.ac.uk/olaf

For all other part-time programmes you should apply direct to the College using the College’s Course Application (Form APP1).

There’s no official closing date for applications for part-time programmes but many of our programmes are over-subscribed so please apply as early as possible.

After you’ve applied, we’ll consider your application against our admissions criteria and, for most programmes, we’ll invite you to an interview. We’ll send you our decision in writing.

People already in Employment

If you’re in work and hoping for employer sponsorship, please follow the normal  application process.

Adult Returners

We welcome applications from mature students (aged 21 or over at the start of the programme) who don’t have formal qualifications. When we assess applications we aim to value life skills and work experience as much as academic qualifications.
