The Folkestone campus has a good location and therefore initial findings suggest development on the existing site rather than moving the college away from the site. Any development would be subject to funding, so a full and thorough appraisal of all options is needed before the College commits.

• A Block refurbishment underway – expected completion Mid August.

• Reception – signage to be improved. Raised with Estates and Business Support staff.

• Survey to be undertaken to review essential maintenance and redecoration works.

• E Block Construction – HNW Architects to review mezzanine floor requirements

• New Build – further work with HNW Architects to assess spatial allocation and requirements – 3800 sq m at present.

• Planning Permission – letter submitted by Planning Consultant to Shepway DC to notify them of intended timescale for new build and permission for land disposal.

• Air conditioning and enhanced lighting works underway in Chapel

• Planned works to car parking barriers – implementation date be advised

• Access controls – review to ensure no operational issues

• Gym – equipment being removed, temporary area being used for student assessments. Refurbishment works underway shortly. Target date for completion is early June.
