Duration : 1 year

This course runs from September to Easter and on successful completion students continue onto a NCFE resort reps and workskills qualification.
Additional studies : First Aid and Stewarding.

This course is a step towards employment in the travel and tourism industry. You will study:

- UK Travel and Tourism Sector
- Understanding Customer Service in Travel and Tourism
- Understanding the nature and effects of worldwide travel
- Holiday planning
- European holiday destinations

Additional costs for kit and trips will be discussed at interview.

You will be assessed by assignments.

Entry Requirements:

You will need to have a relevant Level 1 in Travel and Tourism, four GCSEs (grade D or above) including English and preferably Maths or related work experience.
BTEC Introductory / Foundation diploma at Merit or Distinction and Level 1 Maths and English or GCSE Maths and English Grade D

Career Options:

After you have successfully completed this course you can progress onto the BTEC Level 3 in Travel and Tourism, employment or continue your studies in the vocational area.
