Springboard
Springboard is a course offered by K College for 16-18 year olds designed to help you to gain qualifications and skills which will enable you to enrol on the course most suited to your chosen career path.
The course consists of the following elements:
- Literacy and Numeracy
- NOCN Progression Award/Certificate
You will be provided with an opportunity to upgrade your skills in these areas and to gain a nationally recognised qualification in both. These essential skills will help you to find suitable employment in the future.
In addition, you will be able to select from the following vocational tasters:
- Cooking for yourself
- Employability skills
- Childcare
- Hair Design
- Beauty Therapy
- Street Art
- Construction
- Motor Vehicle
This experience will help you to gain units towards a nationally recognised qualification. It will also help to confirm that your chosen area of interest is the right one for you in terms of selecting a further course of study at K College. The course should be seen as a positive step along the path towards the achievement of a vocational qualification.
