The course is aimed at highly motivated students who are looking for a stepping stone into employment within the sport and active leisure sector. This qualification is designed to provide sport and recreation assistants, activity leaders, fitness instructors and other front line staff with the essential background knowledge in a number of core subjects which will enable them to develop their vocational skills.

Assessment is through coursework, multiple choice theory paper, portfolio of evidence and practical demonstration / Assignment

Please note that you will be required to purchase clothing and equipment from an external supplier for this course. Additional payment for trips will be discussed at interview.

Entry Requirements:

Applicants need a minimum of 5 GCSEs (grade A-D) including English, science, PE and maths. All applicants and will be interviewed.

Students with BTEC qualifications Level 1 or above will still need English and Maths GCSEs (Grade A-D)
