Foundation in Media and Performing Arts Level 1

Duration : 1 yearYou will be working on a combination of media and performance units allowing you to plan, perform, film and edit your own performance work and to learn more about employment in the creative industry. If you are interested in performing and media then you will benefit from this course.
We will teach you how to be creative alongside the technical and employability skills that you will require to aim for a successful professional career. The development of skills in English, Maths and ICT is a crucial part of this journey to success and we will support you in the development of these skills that you will need to gain employment and progress onto the next level course of your choice.
Entry Requirements:
You need GCSEs at grades E and F or an Entry Certificate in Skills for Working Life or an equivalent qualification, as well as an appropriate standard of literacy and numeracy. You will be auditioned.This course is principally for 16-19 year olds.
Career Options:
The Creative Foundation Learning courses are designed to give you the right start to develop your skills and aim at progression onto Level 2 courses.The interests and skills you develop on the creative courses ensure if you successfully complete the course you will be able to apply to another creative subject such as the Level 2 Diplomas in: Performing Arts, Creative Media Production and Art and Design.
