BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Performance

Duration : 2 yearsThis course will enable you to train in well-equipped rehearsal studios and digital composition suites.
By broadening your repertoire and musical identity you will have the opportunity to develop your own personal and professional approach allowing you to confidently progress into the many different fields that the music industry offers.
Through focused project briefs you will develop a vocational understanding as well as the creative and technical skill base to ensure that the music that you create will be relevant for a contemporary commercial worls.
As you develop on the course you will work on live briefs set by our industry partners and gain valuable industry experience. This will include visits to professional performances and studios to see how the commercial world of music works.
Entry Requirements:
You need at least five GCSEs at grade C or above including English or a relevant Level 2 at Merit or Distinction.Applicants will need to demonstrate both practical musical ability (approximately grade 4 standard) and theory knowledge (approximately grade 3 standard) at interview / audition.
Career Options:
