Duration : 2 yearsThe course can open the door to work within a record label as an artist manager or A & R person, work within a recording studio including sound engineering, sound production for television and film, management for music events or work as a performing/recording artist. Subject studies
include:
- Technological skills and industry-related business skills
- How to use studio equipment and computerbased technology in the creation of music
- Financial, legal, and management skills
- Pursue your own musical interests and visit technological shows
Functional skills of English, maths and ICT are a key part of this course.
Assessment is continuous and based on completion of individual projects.
Entry Requirements:
To start the course you need 4 GCSEs (grade A-C), a First Diploma in Music (merit grade) and/or a portfolio demonstrating ability and potential.Career Options:
