Duration : 1 yearThis course will enable you to train in well-equipped rehearsal studios and digital composition suites.
You will work with supportive and enthusiastic staff, who are all active professional musicians. They will work closely with you to ensure you have the opportunities to develop the right skills to progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma.
Through focused project briefs you will develop a vocational understanding as well as the creative and technical skills to ensure that the music that you create will be relevant for a contemporary commercial world.
As you develop on the course, you will work on live briefs set by our industry partners and gain valuable industry experience. This will include visits to professional perfromances and studios to see how the commercial world of music works.
Entry Requirements:
To start this course you need 4 GCSEs (grade D or above).Applicants will need to demonstrate both practical musical ability (approximately grade 3 standard) and theory knowledge (approximately grade 2 standard) at interview / audition.
Career Options:
After you have successfully completed this course you can aim at starting your career in the music industry or progress onto the Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Music Performance..
