Duration : 2 yearsThis programme is designed for those wishing to pursue careers as computing and IT professionals.
You work with the latest technology to develop a sound theoretical understanding and in-depth practical experience of the development, management and support of modern computer systems supporting key business functions.
Subjects studied include
Year 1
Business Skills for e-Commerce (15 credits)
Website Design (15 credits)
Object Oriented Programming (15 credits)
Event Driven Programming (15 credits)
Year 2
Employability and Professional Development

Computer Systems (15 credits)
Network Technologies (15 credits)
Database Design Concepts (15 credits)
Assessment methods will vary, however, the main vehicle of assessment will be coursework and time-constrained assessments.
Entry Requirements:
You need two A-Levels or equivalent (e.g. BTEC Level 3 Diploma) in a related subject and GCSE maths and English at grade C.Mature applicants without the formal requirements but with relevant industrial experience and/or qualifications are welcomed and will be considered individually
Career Options:
Upon successful completion you will be able to progress onto other Higher Level qualifications in Computing offered by universities across the country. Career options include working as a computer programmer or web developer in a range of different organisations e.g. banks, insurance companies, etc.All fees are payable to K College on registration.
