Computer Aided Design (CAD) 3 Dimensional - Certificate Level 3

Duration : 30 weeksThis course provides students with skills and knowledge necessary to become competent users of AutoCAD software. It also teaches students how to produce a wide range of 3D objects and models.
This course includes:
- Applying appropriate commands to set the 3D modelling environment
- Creating and using working planes at any required position within 3D space
- Constructing the whole or part of a 3D model using the best available method surface or solid modelling
- Modifying 3D solid objects
- Performing 3D operations on existing objects
- Manipulating a 3D model
- Viewing 3D models in a variety of display formats and printing/plotting/exporting 3D models.
The college is currently using the 2011 platform
Entry Requirements:
Preferably, students will have good practical knowledge and a competence equal to that achieved through 2D CAD Level 2.Career Options:
