Day 1
Designed for the business user who is comfortable with the Excel basics but would like to know more and ask the expert for hints and tips to improve their Excel and Spreadsheet Skills. Taught using Excel 2003 or 2007. Students are encouraged to bring any examples of sheets they are working on with them on a USB Memory Stick to allow them to work on their own material during the Course.
Course Content:
- Creating new workbooks
- Using multiple MS Excel worksheets - linking spreadsheets tabs and workbooks together
- Entering text and values
- Linking Excel tables in a Word document
- The undo and redo command
- Using named ranges
- Moving and copying cells
- Data series
- Entering a formula (sum, sumif, count, counta, countif to name but a few)
- Absolute and relative cell referencing
- Cell Formatting & Conditional Formatting
- Protecting Sheets
- Printing
Learn how Excel can interact with other applications including Word for mail merging and Sage for data sharing.
