Duration : 3 hoursOn completion of the training, successful candidates will have refreshed their knowledge and understanding of:
Basic principles of food hygiene and complying with food safety legislation
Symptoms and causes of food poisoning and methods of prevention
Bacteria and their potential to cause disease
Hygiene and cleanliness in food premises including personal hygiene, temperature control, storage of food, cleaning and disinfecting equipment and pest control
Basic requirements of the Food Safety Act 1990 and the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995
Entry Requirements:
For those working in Health & Social Care who have previously done training on this subject and require a refresherThis course can be done on the same day as the HEALTH & SAFETY Refresher.
