This practical course introduces you to the foundations of health and social care. You will learn about caring for elderly people, children and those with physical and/or learning disabilities in health, social and early years settings.
The course will give you an understanding of working in these industries, improve your own personal effectiveness, and give you the basic skills required to move on to train in your chosen sector.
Functional skills in English, maths and ICT are a key part of this course.

Entry Requirements:

You need GCSEs at grades E or F, an Entry Certificate in Skills for Working Life or Life Skills, or an equivalent qualification.
All applicants will be interviewed and must have an appropriate standard of literacy, numeracy and related interests.

Career Options:

After successful completion, you can progress onto a Level 2 qualification.
