Duration : 2 yearsThis course will enable you to gain a broad understanding of the skills and qualities needed to start a career in nursing, occupational therapy, paramedic training or health and social work. The course consists of health and social care-related subjects and 300 hours of work placements in a variety of settings.
You will study 12 units involving a variety of subjects and short courses in first aid, manual handling, food hygiene and health and safety.
Functional skills in English and maths are a key part of the course.
You will be assessed by assignments and regular reports from work placements.
Entry Requirements:
You need four GCSEs (grade A-C) including English to apply.All students will be required to undergo a CRB check once enrolled on their course and the outcome may affect work placements.
