The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Adults) and Children and Young Peoples Services has replaced the NVQ L4 in Health and Social Care and the Leadership and Management for Care. The Level 5 diploma qualification will have six pathways:Children and young peoples Residential management pathway
Children and young peoples Management pathway
Children and young peoples Advanced Practice pathway
Adults Residential Management pathway
Adults Management pathway
Adults Advanced Practice pathway
Assessment:
Learners will complete a portfolio of evidence, following a work based programme of including, assignments, use of on-line resource materials and workplace observations.Entry Requirements:
For the advanced practice pathway, the learner must be working as a senior carer or support worker e.g. senior team leader, deputy manager or head of care. For the management pathway, the learner must be the manager of the service.Career Options:
Progression route: learners can progress from the advanced practice qualification to the management pathway without having to complete the mandatory units. Managers can progress to a Foundation Degree in health and social care.Course Starting: To be confirmed - - Location - To be confirmed
