Duration : 1 year

This course is a foundation tier introduction to the hair and beauty sector and is designed to develop the basic skills in literacy, numeracy, speaking, listening and I.T. skills required to assist with progression towards a vocational qualification. The course will also include modules such as:
- Personal development
- Health and safety
- Basic hairdressing skills
- Basic beauty skills
- Team-work

Functional skills of English, Maths and ICT are a key part of this course.

Please note that you will be required to purchase equipment and clothing from an external supplier for this course.

Entry Requirements:

You need at least four GCSEs at grade E or above. Acceptance onto the course will be subject to a successful interview and reference.

Career Options:

After successful completion you can progress onto the Level 1 in Hair and Beauty.
