Duration : 1 yearThis course leads to careers in commercial hairdressing and is a full professional qualification and can also be completed within a 9 month period or within 12 months to include Level 1 in the programme.
The course includes:
- Advising and consulting clients
- Shampooing/conditioning hair and scalp
- Styling hair using drying and setting techniques
- Permanent waving and neutralising hair
- Cutting and long hairdressing
- Promoting services & products
You will be assessed by practical and written assessment, coursework and oral questions.
Please note that you will be required to purchase equipment and clothing from an external supplier for this course.
Entry Requirements:
You need the Diploma in Womens Hairdressing, three GCSEs at grade C or above (including one in English, ICT, maths or science) and a good attendance report. Acceptance onto the course will be subject to a successful interview and internal reference.You should have employment or a work placement in the hairdressing industry.
Career Options:
