Competing for Kuwait

In May 2010, eight Level 3 Hairdressing students in Tonbridge competed for a fabulous prize of flights, transfers, accommodation, meals and work experience for a week in Kuwait, in the newly opened Toni & Guy salon situated in the beautiful Al Corniche Spa. Competitors were asked to produce a high fashion blow dry in 30 minutes, followed by converting that style into an evening style, again within 30 minutes.

All the judges and tutors were amazed by the high standards shown by the participating students and during the final judging it was decided that, as well as awarding Andrea Baldock the winning prize, extra prizes were added to award a second and third place to Emma Barden (£100) and Katy Maynard (£50) respectively.
