This course is suitable for learners who have undertaken the Level 2 course and wish to further develop their engineering skills and knowledge towards a career in the marine leisure or light
commercial vessels industry. You will complete a number of mandatory and optional units including:
Safe and effective working in a boat building repair
service environment
Marine construction and components
Marine engines and power units
Marine propulsion systems

Functional skills in English, maths and ICT are a key part of this course.

Entry Requirements:

Satisfactory completion of the Level 2 Certificate in Marine Construction, Systems Engineering and Maintenance (Marine Engineering).

Career Options:

Upon successful completion you can progress onto a relevant Level 4 qualification or enter into employment in the marine industries.
