Course Conent:Developing an understanding of the principles and techniques relevant to the practical work of plant machinery and diesel engines together with comprehensive training in all aspects of construction machinery repair.
Course Content:
To obtain the NVQ, the candidate must complete all of the mandatory units (Group A), and three of the optional units (Group B); a total of nine units.
A Mandatory Units
- Contribute to Implementing Organisational Health, Safety and Welfare of Personnel Policies and Systems
- Contribute to the Selection and Procurement of Construction Plant and Equipment
- Maintain Services and Operations to Meet Quality Standards
- Contribute to the Planning, Organisation and Evaluation of Work
- Contribute to the Planning, Monitoring and Control of Resources
- Contribute to the Training and Development of Teams, Individuals and Self to Enhance Performance
- Contribute to the Deployment of Plant and Equipment for Construction Operations
- Contribute to Planning and Implementing the Maintenance of Construction Plant and Equipment
- Contribute to Preparing Estimates, Bids and Tenders
- Contribute to Preparing Offers for the Supply of Plant and Equipment
- Contribute to Preparing and Controlling Hire Agreements and Contracts for the Supply of Plant and Equipment
- Contribute to the Provision of Personnel
Entry Requirements:
You need to be in related employment to apply for this course and hold the relevant Level 2.Course Starting: Monday 10 Sep 2012 - Part Time - Off Campus
