This course is an entry point and introduction to those new to teaching and training, or those wishing to teach or train.It is the appropriate qualification for those seeking a stepping stone to qualifications that entitle them to teach in either an associate or full teaching role.
You should possess a good level of spoken and written English (GCSE grade C and above or L2).
Content includes the nuts and bolts of basic teaching practice:
- The value of ice-breakers
- Barriers to learning/learning style
- Teaching and learning methods/roles responsibilities and boundaries of a teacher
- Assessment methods and record-keeping
- Lesson planning
- Schemes of work
- Resources and a micro-teach
The course cost is 370. (300 tuition /70 reg/cert)
If you have recently been made redundant and wish to enrol on this course to enhance your employment prospects, there may be funding to help you. If you are in receipt of JSA/ESA then your tuition fee may be covered if you can provide current proof of benefits
