This qualification is aimed at young people who want to follow a career in working with children in the early years sector. It is a credit-based qualification, with a range of units to study, which may include:- Healthy eating
- Confidence building for the young child through play
- Listening to and talking with children
- Play and learning in the home
- Providing a safe and hygienic environment
- Peer Mentoring
You will also study personal and social development in a range of topics together with skills in English, Maths and ICT.
All units will be individually internally assessed using a range of methods which could include: written assignments or tasks such as designing a leaflet or booklet, charts or diagrams or setting up an information board.
Entry Requirements:
No formal qualifications are required but all applicants will be interviewed.Career Options:
