The HABC course is delivered via an interactive, on-line format. The course is fully animated with high quality graphics and full audio voice-over. Stimulating interactive elements, exercises and simulations to guide through the course content. The course can be studied anywhere with access to the internet, at a time that is convenient to you.The qualification is designed for anyone working in a catering setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled. The course is recommended for experienced caterers needing to refresh their training.
We are pleased to offer this course in partnership with Environmental Health departments of Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Sevenoaks District Council. This partnership provides the latest training with those directly responsible for environmental health.
Course content:
The courses cover all aspects of the level 2 syllabus splitting the training into 10 easy to manage modules:
Introduction to food safety
Microbiological hazards
Food poisoning and its control
Contamination hazards and controls
HACCP from delivery to service
Personal hygiene
Food premises and equipment
Food pests and pest control
Cleaning and disinfection
Food safety enforcement
Knowledge assessments in the form of a multiple-choice quiz will assess learners knowledge of the whole course or individual modules.
