Food and Beverage Service - Level 2 VRQ Diploma

Duration : 1 yearThis course gives you additional skills to develop your career in professional catering, e.g. hotels, restaurants and pubs.
Subjects studied include:
- Investigate the catering and hospitality industry
- Legislation
- Menu design
- Food health and safety awareness
- Enhanced food and drink service skills
- Principles of customer service
Functional skills of English, maths and ICT are a key part of this course.
You will be assessed by observation of competence, assignments and presentations.
Please note that you will be required to purchase equipment and clothing from an external supplier for this course.
Entry Requirements:
You will need five GCSEs at grades A*-C or equivalent, or successful completion of the Level 1 VRQ. Those with at least three years relevant industry experience will also be considered.Career Options:
