Duration : 1 yearThis course is designed to develop your practical skills in face, hand and feet treatments. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety, anatomy and physiology. This course can lead to careers in a wide variety of beauty therapy settings e.g. make-up consultancy, salons, television studios, or as a beauty salon owner and much more.
Units include (but are not limited to) :-
- Manicure
- Pedicure
- Facial
- Eye treatments
- Waxing
- Make up
- Lash and brow treatments
- Salon reception duties
Two functional skills are a key part of this course.
You will be assessed by portfolio, examinations and performance of commercial treatments.
Please note that you will be required to purchase equipment and clothing from an external supplier for this course.
Entry Requirements:
Applicants should have four GCSEs (grade A*-C) or the Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 1 and will be interviewed.Career Options:
