Art and Design - Foundation Diploma

Duration : 1 yearThis exciting, intensive one-year course prepares you for Higher Education study in a very broad range of art and design specialisms.
You will be introduced to a variety of artistic elements, including Fine Art, Painting and Drawing (including life class), Fashion and Textiles, Printmaking, 3D Design and Sculpture, Graphic Design and Illustration, Animation and Computer Imagery, Video and Photography, and Contextual studies.
You will then develop your portfolios in pathway groups, concentrating on any of the above, supported by specialist tutors in state-of-the-art facilities.
Assessment is continuous. You will complete project work and written evaluations and will be involved in group discussions.
Entry Requirements:
You will usually be 18 years of age or older and possess one or more of the following:At least one A-Level qualification, plus at least three GCSE qualifications at grade C or above
Full BTEC Level 3 Diploma/International
Baccalaureate/AVCE
Pre Foundation Certificate
A suitable portfolio of artwork
Mature students and International students are very welcome. Please note all students must provide a portfolio of artwork at interview, to include sketchbooks and a range of personal
art and design work.

This is an opportunity to explore and learn about many aspects of art and design in order to make an informed decision about career options.
