BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design

Duration : 2 yearsThis course provides you with the opportunity to produce a range of commercial art and design products in our specialist studios. We will teach you the skills required for a range of art and design careers. You will develop exciting new creative and technical skills and be able to make high quality and commercially valuable work. A strong emphasis is put on developing employability skills such as presenting ideas and negotiating effectively to secure contracts.
Entry Requirements:
You need five GCSEs at grade C or above, including an art or design based subject and English Language, or a BTEC Level 2 in a relevant subject at Merit or Distinction plus Level 2 qualifications in English and maths. You will also need to bring a portfolio of artwork to interview.Other qualifications will be considered.
Career Options:
After successful completion you can progress onto a Degree course in your chosen subject to further develop your professional skills such as: graphic design, illustration, photography, advertising, animation, web design or fine art. Alternatively, you could secure a Higher Level Apprenticeship or apply directly for a job in the creative industries which requires Level 3 skills.Course Starting: Monday 10 Sep 2012 - Full Time - Tonbridge
