Graphic Design - Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma

We will teach you creative, technical and essential employability skills required for a successful career in the wide range of design industries.
You will produce commercially focused work in a range of design disciplines such as illustration, animation, web design, typography, editorial design, advertising and multimedia. As you develop on the course you will work on live briefs set by our industry partners and gain valuable
industry experience. This will include visits to professional design studios to see how the commercial world of design works.
Our design courses are run using the industry standard package Adobe Creative Suite 5 on iMacs.

Entry Requirements:

You need five GCSEs at grade C or above, including an art-based subject and English Language, or a BTEC Level 2 in a relevant subject
at Merit or Distinction plus Level 2 qualifications in English and maths. You will also need to bring a portfolio of artwork to interview.
Other qualifications will be considered.

Career Options:

After successful completion you can progress onto a Degree course in your chosen subject to further develop your professional skills such as: Graphic Design, Web Design, Illustration,
Advertising or Animation. Alternatively, you could secure a Higher Level Apprenticeship or apply directly for a job in the creative industries which requires Level 3 skills.
