Duration : 2 years

We will teach you to produce innovative and inspirational design in our specialist fashion studios which you will be able to regularly showcase in fashion shows and exhibitions. By exploring a wide range of practical skills such as pattern cutting techniques, fashion illustration and textile printing methods you will develop abilities relevant to the industry and career paths within it.
We place a strong emphasis on developing employability skills, such as presenting ideas and negotiating effectively with potential clients.
You will learn to produce fashion products for the diverse and ever-developing fashion culture; from ethical roots of design to couture fashion, this course is a perfect platform from which to begin your journey to a career in the fashion and clothing industry.

Entry Requirements:

You need five GCSEs at grade C or above, including an art-based subject and English Language, or a BTEC Level 2 in a relevant subject at Merit or Distinction plus Level 2 qualifications in English and maths. You will also need to bring a portfolio of artwork to interview.
Other qualifications will be considered.

Career Options:

After successful completion, previous students have progressed onto a variety of degree courses including Fashion Design, Textiles, Footwear Design and Costume Design. Alternatively, you
could secure a Higher Level Apprenticeship or apply directly for a job in the creative design industries which requires Level 3 skills.
