Duration : 1 year

The College provides an environment where you can freely research, experiment and explore the diverse disciplines identified as fine art, as well as ensuring that you are aware of the historical, contemporary and cultural factors that influence the response to your own practice and the work of others.
You will be encouraged to understand and undertake the artists role as observer and articulater and you will develop your skills using media appropriate to the content and context of your work. These could include: painting, video, printmaking, photography, performance, drawing, sculpture, IT and installation.

You will be assessed through studio work, tutorials, seminars, exhibition proposals, a dissertation and a final degree show.

Entry Requirements:

You are expected to have completed an HND or Foundation Degree in Fine Art or a closely-related discipline, with at least six grades at Merit or above, one of which must be an essay.
You will be required to provide a portfolio of work and attend an interview. Successful applicants will be required to complete a short bridging course taking place in June, prior
to the commencement of the BA programme.
The bridging course is designed to acclimatise you to the level of conceptual thinking required, and to instil in you the ability to analyse and evaluate your own position in terms of contemporary art practice.

Career Options:

You can progress onto a Masters Degree in Fine Art or related disciplines or engage in careers in art, curating, gallery management, teaching, etc.
