Duration : 1 yearYou will creatively explore your own practice as a designer as well as investigating the relationship between client and designer.
The course involves both theory and practical work and you will continue to build a portfolio throughout the course. The course aims to encourage the development of the knowledge,
understanding and methods required by todays graphic designer and/or illustrator.
Subjects studied include:
- Advanced Professional Practice
- Critical Thinking
- Graphics-related practical option
- Dissertation
- Major Project
Entry Requirements:
You should typically have completed a BTEC Higher National Diploma in a design-based subject, or a Foundation Degree (FdA) (Not an art foundation course). You should have 240 creditpoints, 120 credits at Merit or Distinction level.
Mature applicants (those over 21 years of age at the start of the course) are welcomed and should have relevant experience with a suitable portfolio of creative work. Students for whom English is not the first language will require a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent.
An interview will be required, together with a suitable portfolio of work.
Career Options:
On successful completion of this course you may be able to progress to post-graduate study or employment in graphic design with advertising agencies, design companies and printers.Course Starting: Monday 24 Sep 2012 - Full Time - Tonbridge
