Fashion and Textiles - BA (Hons) Top-Up Degree (University of Kent)

Duration : 1 yearThis course develops knowledge from a previous Level 5 qualification, such as the Foundation Degree and further develops the creative, technical and team building skills essential for working in the fashion and textiles industry. You will develop a sound understanding of the business background and market place of fashion and textiles and apply theory to practice through organising ambitious projects such as end of year fashion shows and exhibitions. You will specialise in Fashion or Textiles for your final major project, ensuring you can develop a selective portfolio of work to include fashion and/or textiles, suitable for prospective interviews.

Concept Realisation and Development
Business Promotion and Portfolio
Final Major Project (Fashion or Textiles option)
Assessment will be continual through ongoing assignments, coursework, work-based learning, presentation and exhibition work.
Entry Requirements:
You should hold a Foundation Degree or HND in a relevant subject with six Merit passes (or equivalent of 90 credits at Merit). You must also have a well-presented subject-specific portfolio.Alternatively you may be accepted on to the programme if you hold a degree in a relevant subject area.
Career Options:
On successful completion of this course, you can progress into a suitable Fashion/Textiles related MA Degree.
