The ability to sell is the life blood of all organisations. The art of persuasion, listening, understanding and closure is an all important skill to maximise revenue, and gain and retain customers. Sales skills need to be adapted to a wide variety of circumstances, customers and products. More staff are involved in 'sales' beyond the sales teams than is normally recognised with an organisation. Most staff have the ability to influence a sale and all of them 'sell' the organisation as a whole. Selling is possibly one of the oldest professions in the world and trading between different countries opened up the world.
