Accounting - AAT Level 2 Certificate

Duration : 1 yearThis course is for anyone wishing to become an accounting technician. AAT qualified accounting technicians can earn up to 24% more than their non-qualified counterparts.
The course covers the first stage of the AAT accounting qualification, looking at all aspects of basic bookkeeping such as:
Issue and receipts of invoices
Day books
Receipts and payments
Cash book
Bank reconciliation
Ledgers
Final trial balance
The course also includes an introduction to computerised bookkeeping using the SAGE accounts software package and aspects of business administration.
You will be assessed both during and at the end of the course by computer-based assessments.
Entry Requirements:
You need four GCSEs (grade A-C) to apply including English and maths at grade C.Career Options:
After you have successfully completed this course you can progress onto the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.Guidance advice: The full-time course is ideal for students new to accounting; the part-time course is especially for students working in accounting with a little previous knowledge; and the evening course is an accelerated course best suited for students with prior knowledge and skills who are working full-time in an accounting environment.
