The Level 3 qualifications in First Line Management are designed for supervisors and first line managers who wish to build on and develop their existing management skills and knowledge. The Diploma pathway helps you to develop a comprehensive range of skills and knowledge required at this level. The course is mainly delivered online offering a highly flexible approach to learning. This allows you the freedom and choice to select from the broad range of units available, to tailor the size and elements of the qualifications to suit your specific needs.
You will be assigned a management mentor and an assessor to guide you through your study choices giving you all the support you need to achieve success. You will also have access to a superb suite of online interactive learning resources which you can draw upon 24 hours a day.
The qualification includes Mandatory units of study as follows:
Personal development as a first line manager,
Resource planning,
Meeting stakeholder needs,
Managing and communicating information,
Developing individuals and teams.
You also need to complete up to three Optional units choosing from:
Recruitment and selection,
Maintaining quality standards,
Improving team performance,
Management communication,
Being a leader,
Managing stakeholder expectations,
Introducing organisational culture,
values and behaviour,
Managing team dynamics
Course fees include affiliate membership of the Chartered Management Institute giving you full access to a range of specialist resources and opportunities to network locally with like minded management professionals.
The nature of assessment will be agreed between you and your assessor and can include preparing a management report, professional discussion, making a presentation or downloading and completing one of our case studies. In all cases, a bespoke flexible approach will be designed to meet your needs. The qualification can be completed at a pace that suits you, typically between 6 and 12 months.
