English Language & Literature (A2 Level (AQA)

The advanced study of English Language and Literature looks at the connection between language and literature and how the study of one helps us better understand the other. You will read drama, novels and poetry and will also examine how language is used in everyday context such as conversations.A2 English Language and Literature has 3 modules:
1. Comparative literary studies: you will look at the interrelation of language and literature in two prescribed texts
2. Texts and audience: using dramatic texts, you will adapt material for a new audience
3. Language in context: you will analyse and compare literary texts, non-literary texts and speech
All modules are assessed by examinations.
