Duration : 1 yearThe Media A-Level can be studied as part of the following pathways:

- Business
- Drama (Tonbridge only)
- Media
- Express
This is the subject for those who are interested in the full range of media, including newspapers, magazines, film, radio, television and all media institutions.
At AS Level you will study:
- Foundation production
- A range of media products such as lifestyle magazines, TV programmes, films and their audiences, generic forms and conventions
At A2 Level you will study:
- Advanced production
- Text, industry and audience: investigations in media industries and their target audiences
Both the AS and A2 Levels are assessed through a combination of coursework and exams.
Entry Requirements:
For AS Levels you will need five GCSE passes at grades A*-C, including English and maths, as well as one grade B. Other relevant qualifications can be discussed at interview.If you have grades A and B at GCSE or a strong overall GCSE profile, well encourage you to study four AS courses.
To progress from AS to A2 you are expected to gain at least a grade C in the AS subject studied.
