Duration : 1 yearThe Art and Design Certifcate (equivalent of an AS-Level) and the Art and Design Subsidiary Diploma (equivalent of an A2 Level) can be studied as part of the Arts pathway at Tonbridge only.
If you enjoy practical art, experimenting with different media and methods of working and developing your own ideas you will enjoy this course..
You will explore a range of themes through sketchbook and portfolio work and look at the way others have used art to express themselves through research and gallery visits.
Entry Requirements:
For AS Levels, you need five GCSE passes at A*-C, including English and maths, as well as one grade B. You will also need at least a grade C in an art-related GCSE. You need to have had experience using basic art materials and have some skill which can be developed at this level. Other relevant qualifications can be discussed at interview.If you have grades A and B at GCSE or a strong overall GCSE profile, well encourage you to study four AS courses.
To progress from AS to A2 you are expected to gain at least a grade C in the AS subject studied.
