COURSE DESIGNED FOR:
Employees and building managers who may incur incidental exposure to asbestos containing materials.
Aims:
For employees to identify Asbestos during the course of their work.
CONTENT WILL INCLUDE:
- Background and History of Asbestos
- Health effects of Asbestos
- Asbestos in buildings
- Legislative requirement of Asbestos containing materials
- Management of Asbestos containing materials
On successful completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Understand the history of Asbestos
- Identify the Health related conditions
- To be able to develop policies and procedures in response of the discovery of Asbestos.
- To be able to access information about internal or external sources to decontaminate and or transfer waste.
A short test is at the end of the session.
Entry Requirements:
Anyone who may come into contact with Asbestos based materials.Career Options:
>.CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace- CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
- CIEH Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
- NEBOSH General Certificate
