This course is designed to further develop the skills and knowledge of those working at an advanced level in the carpentry and joinery industries. Modules include:

Safe working practices in construction
Information, quantities and communicating with others
Building methods and construction technology
First fixing operations
Second fixing
Complex structural carcassing components
Non-structural and structural components
Fixed and transportable machinery
Functional skills in English, maths and ICT are a key part of this course.

Entry Requirements:

You will ideally have a Level 2 carpentry/joinery qualification or relevant experience. There are also pre-entry assessments and an interview.

Career Options:

You can progress onto higher education in a related area or into relevant employment.
