What do the levels mean?

CARPENTRY & WOOD TRADES

A wide range of programmes are offered from level 1 to level 3 in this area of study, at our Folkestone campus, we are the only provider regionally who can offer wood machining qualifications, being either a separate qualification or combined with bench joinery up to fully qualified status at level 3. Site carpentry is offered at Tonbridge Wells and Folkestone up to level 3 having a very successful history of students progressing into a career in the industry via an apprenticeship programme. Bench joinery full time courses and apprenticeships at level 2 in this field are now being offered at the Tunbridge Wells campus. We are particularly proud to be able to state that both our facilities and success rates on these programmes are judged to be outstanding.
