BERNADETTE KATCHOFF

Vice Principal Learner Success

Bernadette joined K College as Vice Principal Learner Success in January 2011 having worked in a wide range of education related roles  since 1973. Her previous post was at MidKent College as Assistant Principal (Curriculum Development & Student Services).   A qualified Careers Advice & Guidance practitioner and Therapeutic Counsellor in private practise, Bernadette’s education posts have also  included that of Manager of Centre for Learning & Teaching at University of Greenwich. There she led the ILT project team responsible for the e-University developments.

Her teaching roles include Counselling Course Leader in an Adult Ed., and visiting lecturer/assessor at The College of Guidance Studies and module tutor for a distance learning programme , the MSc CPD for Healthcare Professionals.  At Lewisham College she worked as an FE Careers Adviser, and at Greenwich Community College as Admissions Officer and Staff Counsellor.  

Other education related posts include Director of Greenwich and Lewisham Education Business Partnership (EBP)  and Regional Development Manager for Edexcel the awarding body. She has written numerous BTEC units and Tutor Support Materials as well as undertaking external moderator/verifier roles for Health & Social Care sector qualifications.

Personal passions include surviving life as the parent of teenagers (now achieved, as they are all over 20), and promoting the national Organ Donor Register.
