Mike Pollard was born in Bristol and has worked in customer relations and accounting positions. Then took a career change into Human Resources and Management and now works in Kent.

Mike is the Human Resources Manager at Dungeness A Power Station and has been a member of the Executive team for over 20 years and covers the position of Site Director from time to time. He has gained qualifications by further education and is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. His commitment to staff development has encouraging many staff at Dungeness to pursue further development and gain qualifications via further education.

Two children and enjoys a number of sports. He has instructed and assessed for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and has recently qualified as a RYA Senior Sailing Instructor.

Mike joined the Board from South Kent College in April 2010.
