COUNCILLOR KIT SMITH

Kit was born and educated in Cambridge, went to university in London and has lived in East Kent since then.
Kit has owned and developed his own multi million business in the fresh food sector.
He has been a local government politician for 25 years as a member of Dover District Council and currently as Cabinet member for education skills and external affairs.
He is also a Kent County Councillor, specialising in education and skills, FE and HE
Kit was a Governor of South Kent College and joined K College governors in 2010. He is a governor of a primary school in East Kent.
His leisure interests include sailing, specialist vegetable growing and breeding and his grandchildren.
