K College Press InformationFinancial Support For All Full Time Young Students
Tuesday, 12 July 2011 11:00
K College has decided to provide a bursary for all full time 16 – 18 year old learners who are continuing their studies with us or joining us for the first time in September 2011.
Since the government announced that EMA will not be available for Further Education learners in the 2011/12 academic year, K College has been working to provide an alternative financial support package for our learners. The good news is that our support scheme is one of the most generous in the area.
Whether you received EMA or not last year, all full time 16 – 18 year old learners are eligible to apply for a K College Student Bursary worth at least £200. The Bursary will be paid automatically into your bank account in 3 installments.
All learners are also able to apply separately for a Discretionary Learner Support Fund grant to help with travel and other costs. Payments from the Discretionary Learner Support Fund will be made according to personal circumstances.
How do I Apply?
You can apply today for the K College Student Bursary by completing the simple application form which can be accessed at www.kcollege.ac.uk/student-bursary. Applications for the DLSF grant should be made once you have enrolled, on a separate form. Our student services team is on hand today to answer any questions you may have and can be contacted on 0845 207 8220.
In all cases we will contact you directly to let you know the amount of your exact entitlement once we have processed your application.
All Fees, Bursaries, Support Payments and Grants may be subject to Government Funding changes.
